Now, when somebody from Colombia comes here, that’s one of the most important things that they’ll miss. But hey! That’s no longer the case.
The food at Perro Loco is great. Their Hot Dogs and Burgers are authentically Colombian. They use all of the ingredients that are used back home. Even the most important one… people to share it with.
The hotdogs include crumbled chips, quail egg and pineapple sauce. You’ll need both of your hands to handle it. The burger is a beast! It has besides the hamburger, Ham, cheese and bacon, as well as simmered onion, crumbled chips, and pineapple sauce. If you are not hungry enough you’ll be taking at least half of your bugger home. You’ve been warned.
They don’t only sell hot dogs and hamburgers, you can also find there mazorcada which is yellow corn mixed with cheese, drizzled with different sauces and includes pulled chicken and bacon with crunched chips. Everything is mixed together and then served. They also have Arepas rellenas, arepas con chorizo and sometimes empanadas. You can’t go wrong with whatever you decide to eat. All of the menu options are delicious and authentically Colombian.
Besides their dishes, they also have the perfect combination for their food. A Colombian Hamburger and Hot Dog wouldn’t be complete if you didn’t have either a Colombiana, or a Manzana Postobon. Both are Colombian sodas. Forget Coke or whatever you’re use to having here. If you really want to have the Colombian experience choose from one of the two.
Being the “Parche Colombiano” that it is, one of their main objectives is to bring the Colombian community closer. They do this by building relationships with their customers and not only seeing them as clients but also as friends.
Olga and Toto started Perro Loco because they realized a place like this didn’t exist. They’re open Wednesday to Sunday and their location varies. Look for them on facebook. You can find them @ www.facebook.com/perroloco.colombianos They post their location so you can know where to find them.

ABOUT US

PERROLOCO
COLOMBIAN CRAVINGS
If you’re thinking a regular fast food joint. You’re wrong.
Perro Loco (Colombian Cravings) is more than that. People don’t just come here, order, eat (or take out) and leave. Perro Loco is “El Parche” (the growing hang out spot) for Colombians in Maryland.
Ok, Here is the thing. I have to give you the background story in order for you to understand how important that is and what it really means.
Us Colombians, in the most part, are pretty upbeat, happy and social people. If you ever have the opportunity to go visit, in the evenings you’ll be surprise how many local fast food joints you’ll find in the neighborhoods filled with people. Everybody knows each other by name and that’s where at the end of every night they hang out with their friends and neighbors. These are not the franchise corporate restaurants. They’re Mom & Pops business and most of the time they’re located in a neighbor’s garage, and in some cases, its right outside a house, you just knock on the window and ask for a burger or hotdog while you talk to your friends and catch up.
